We feel a strong connection with our communities, both Tulum and Cuernavaca, and strive to provide each student
with the opportunity to work with us in giving back to those in need. Instituto Chac-Mool will organize volunteer
opportunities to places such as clinics, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, and orphanages for anyone who wants
to help.
We are especially dedicated to one Cuernavaca orphanage and interested students and staff go to
cook, clean, help with homework, and most importantly, interact with the children.
For those wanting maximum time to volunteer in Mexico
we suggest our Private Spanish Immersion classes for 3 hours each day leaving
more time free for coordinated volunteer work. Use our rate request form
for more information about a personalized program.
For students enrolling in one of our peer Spanish Courses you may volunteer
on the weekends and/or up to several afternoons a week. For those enrolled in Spanish classes for
less than 4 weeks a fee of $50usd may be required in advance to make volunteer arrangements. Please ask about options available without this additional fee.
