Although at Instituto Chac-Mool we don't require you stay with a local Mexican family while you study Spanish, a homestay provides a valuable opportunity to stay immersed in the language and learn about the Mexican culture. With your host family you'll practice the Spanish language in the most natural of settings.

Cuernavaca, Mexico

Since 1996 in Cuernavaca we have worked as a team with many neighboring families in order to make a comfortable and rewarding homestay. Our school has been at the same location in Cuernavaca's neighborhood of Colonia Pradera since the beginning and we have great feedback on all the host families selected for you by our housing director. Homestays include 3 daily meals and a private room (single or double), with private or shared bathroom. A few Cuernavaca host families offer guest houses which are studio-type accommodations with private bathroom, independent entrance and possibly a kitchenette.

Tulum, Mexico

We opened our school in Tulum pueblo December 2011 and our host families are still somewhat limited in availability. But our list of local families is getting more established as we are getting great feedback from students about their homestays. Homestays include 3 daily meals and a private room (single or double), with private or shared bathroom.
