As the Hispanic population living in the U.S. and other non-Spanish speaking countries rises,
learning Spanish has become a necessary skill for a professional in the legal field.
Communicating in Spanish, even at a basic level, will help improve your service
to your Hispanic clients. Instituto Chac-Mool has designed this special professional program
for law students, attorneys, paralegals, and others in legal professions.
Students of this course may participate in the “Bilingual Exchange Program”, a conversation workshop offering
a unique experience to meet a Mexican counterpart. You will practice Spanish legal terms, while they practice English terms,
as well as discuss different cultural aspects relating to the field of law. Visits to the local court house and
other institutions may also be arranged.
PLEASE NOTE: It is recommended that students have at least a basic knowledge of Spanish before beginning the
Legal Spanish program.
